FAQs

Stritzl Contracting
  • Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?

Yes. We hold full licensing to operate throughout Bucks and Montgomery counties in Pennsylvania. We maintain comprehensive liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage, and we are pleased to provide documentation in advance for your assurance.
  • Do you pull the required building permits?

Yes. From basement bathroom additions to multi-level deck construction, we manage all necessary permits, architectural plans, and local inspections to ensure your project meets municipal code requirements.
  • Should I use pressure-treated wood or composite decking?

Pressure-treated lumber offers lower initial costs but requires annual staining, sealing, and upkeep. Composite decking products such as Trex or TimberTech eliminate staining needs, resist splintering, and include 25–30-year warranties. We will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each option during your consultation.
  • How long does it take to build a deck?

Standard deck projects typically require 1 to 2 weeks, based on size and design complexity. Larger multi-tier decks or projects incorporating custom elements such as outdoor kitchens may extend to 3 to 4 weeks. We will deliver a precise schedule before work begins.
  • Can I add a bathroom to my basement?

Yes. Basement bathroom and wet bar installations are routine projects we complete regularly. We manage all plumbing, venting, and drainage requirements, assessing your home's current infrastructure to identify if an ejector pump or trenching is necessary.
  • How long does a basement remodel take?

Standard basement finishing projects generally require 4 to 8 weeks, while more elaborate designs incorporating custom bars, egress windows, and bathrooms extend to 8 to 12 weeks.
